 Pharmacy Re-Engineering Systems Architect

Description:

SBG Technology Solutions seeks an experienced Pharmacy Re-Engineering Systems Architect to research and develop overall approach for Pharmacy program requirements and create an architecture vision. This includes investigating multiple approaches to replacing the current Drug Information supplier, Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) feasibility and approach of moving to HL7 email and identifying reporting requirements. Desired SME has previous experience with Inpatient and VA Pharmacy Re-Engineering (PRE) products.

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Researches and develops overall approach for Pharmacy program requirements
  • Consults government lead in Pharmacy Re-Engineering systems and architecture
  • Provides analysis of requirements against fiscal, schedule, and performance issues
  • Creates and convey an architectural vision for a program or project using program requirements
  • Identifies project needs and make recommendations/suggestions regarding technical direction
  • Provides expert advice and thoughtful leadership to multiple VA customers
  • Responsible for dictating design choices to software developers, including but not limited to: platforms, coding and technical levels
  • Performs data analysis to identify and implement process improvements
  • Provides effective communication and project coordination to project stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering or technical discipline is required with 10 years’ experience (20 years of relevant experience may be substituted for education)
  •      Must have experience with VA Pharmacy systems and architecture
  • Must have extensive experience with analysis of requirements against fiscal, schedule, and performance issues
  • Have extensive experience in taking program requirements and the ability to create an architecture vision having experience in high volume and high availability networks and systems
  • Must have extensive experience in the coordination of program and project leaders to identify requirements for system architecture and be able to identify strategies for addressing requirements
  • Experience in establishing and enforcing standards and practices
  • Extensive software development experience and thorough knowledge of a variety of programming languages and logic
  • Experience with the VA (particularly VHA and OI&T) strongly preferred
  • Excellent organization and analytical skills
  • Attention to detail with the ability to analyze and communicate effectively and creatively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience interfacing directly with clients and managing customer relationships
  • Active VA clearance preferred
  • Ability to remain flexible in a highly dynamic and politicized environment
  •  
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident, or EAD to obtain and maintain a VA Public Trust Clearance
